:)2 years ago. a picture appear in the net showing J-10B with phase array radar.there are aurgument if this PESA or AESA.due to IFF dipole antenna imbeded in antenna,blogger claim it was PESA,but wikipedia claim it was AESA. But notice that LRU do not have wave guide. this indicate it could be AESA (PESA radar do have wave guide).but the choice to adapt dipole IFF antenna was strange, USAF F-16 APX-135 IFF antenna was located in front of cockpit.-(4 horizontal antenna). I recall back in 2008 Zhuhai airshow. brochure appear showing horizontal blade antenna similiar to F-16.but instead of 4 antenna. it only 2 . likely the AESA like japanese APG-1 a demonstrator radar. according to aviation week,Shenyang told them that they "do plan" to install aesa radar on J-11,J-15 and J-16.

Thanks for the info. I think J-10B will be more likely to have AESA as well.
