The two missiles (KD-9 and KD-10) look almost identical in your pictures. Are they actually the same? It is hard to believe the army would acquire the two models instead of just one? It would be a nightmare for logistics. If they are the same family, why not label as KD-10 (standard) and KD-10ER (heavier, extended range), etc?

KD-9 is lighter and smaller than KD-10, thus KD-9 has a smaller weight and range but more versatile. KD-10 is only carried by Z-10 whereas KD-9 can be carried by various types of carriers including Z-9WZ, Z-10, Z-19 and Mi-17V5. Therefore KD-10 is thought to be only in limited in service with the army. Hope this helps.
