(according to defending cao,WS-10X may have uses ws-15 central core technology)

WS-10B and presumably WS-10X's core are based off the civilian CFM-56 while the WS-15 is a completely new core. Trying to use technologies from a 4th generation core (WS-15) on a 3rd generation engine (WS-10) is very tedious and probably a waste of resources. |

Fake news. This source is identical to the one that came out a couple years ago about the WS-15 being 161 kN wet and 105.22 kN dry. If I'm not mistaken, the article also said that the WS-15 had a T/R of 8.86 and a turbine inlet temp of 1750K. Clearly false ... the 10:1 ratio was already achieved during ground tests ... |
