according to a russian aviation magazine 2 years ago, PL-15 may possess a AESA seeker.the only LRAAM that carry AESA seeker was the japanese AAM-4,but russia is not far behind. last year they show off there AESA seeker for nex gen. AAM. AESA big advantage was ECCM,long detection of stealth aircraft,using SAR for scene matching,allow the missile to distinquish decoy and target aircraft... it is also speculate that LR antiship missile may also adapting AESA. during the early 90's,France did develop AESA seeker for anti ship missile for there next gen. of anti ship missile.

Not sure about this. AESA is very good and very expensive, so far only Japanese can afford it.

according to January 2015 issue modern weaponry,NOrinco claim that mass production of T/R MMIC allowed lower cost per chip .(Russia claim that there x band T/R mmic cost around $200)the magazine do not specify how much per chip. anyway ,we are witnessing application of of TRMMIC not just in the military but also in the civilian.showed China manage to overcome the mass production bottleneck.
