I have a question.
Does China have a "Silent Flanker" in progress? Like a Flanker with stealth features.

Sorry I don't have any news regarding so-called silent flanker. It has been rumored that the SAC is working on a follow-on design of J-16 fighter bomber with some stealth features (J-17?).

Interesting. Why can't they simply add the ground attack ability to the J-11BS instead of building an entire new fighter? And why not just add stealth abilities to the J-16 instead of starting a new line of fighters? |

It appears to me that SAC is trying to compete against XAC who is also working on its own semi-stealth fighter bomber design--JH-7B. It is likely only one of these competing designs will eventually enter mass production.
